Could Oswald fire 3 shots in 5.6 seconds using the Carcano bolt action rifle from the sixth floor of the Texas School Book Depository?

By: Stephen Binion, Truck Driver, former Marine, rtd Guard Cavalryman

Masaad Ayoob is a police chief and police trainer. He was of the belief Oswald couldn’t do it. In a class he taught on forensic re-enactment none of the right handed shooters could do it.

Oswald was right handed, but left eye dominant. Oswald shot left handed. Every lefty in Ayoob’s class made the shots in the timeframe Oswald did.

I too was a Marine like Oswald. Marines are better shots than 90 percent of the men you meet on the street.

I went to Deally plaza when I lived in Dallas. I literally laughed out loud at a conspiracy nut talking about impossible shots fired by Oswald. His LONGEST SHOT was 88 yards. I could have made those shots with my Ruger Blackhawk revolver in .41 Magnum.

What famous historical figure was a fraud?

Robert Prescott, 6th Grade Social Studies Teacher at SMUSD (1997-present)

My grandfather served in the Pacific theater during World War II. He was in the Liberty Battalion made famous by the movie Hacksaw Ridge about Desmond Doss starring Andrew Garfield. He was there in the Philippines when General MacArthur made his arrival on shore. This was an event that was purely a photo op.

Just a few minutes after the photo was taken, MacArthur changed out of his wet boots because they were uncomfortable and put dry ones on. No other infantry got that luxury of changing to dry boots while assaulting the beach!

My grandpa used to always tell the story about MacArthur and what a show pony he was. While MacArthur may have done some great things, a majority of what he did was just simply propaganda and bravado. And as history bears out, he was recalled back to the states for over stepping his authority.

I remember walking through downtown Norfolk, Virginia and stumbling upon his statue and museum. Even today he is lionized in our history. But very few people know the real MacArthur like my grandfather did.
