Behavior, motivation
1. Format for Behavior, motivation
|
All ads are sorted alphabetically by title. Categories attempt to gather related items for ease when trying to find similar items or ideas.
Human beings don't always act in logical ways, but usually their actions are very predictable. So for this to be found in the classified category for behavior and to be sorted with other observations about human behaviors, the title for this would be:
Behavior: human - not logical, but predictable
Then the content could be used to support the title.

Alarm system tip - make your car keys a personal, free system
|
Put your car keys beside your bed at night. If you hear something suspicious or someone trying to break into your house, just press the panic button. Your car alarm will be set off and the horn honks until either you turn it off/reset it with the button on the key fob chain or your car battery dies.
Your keys become a security alarm system which requires no installation or cost. Test it.
It will go off almost everywhere inside your house. It works if you park in your driveway or garage. If your car alarm goes off when someone is trying to break in your house, a burglar or rapist is less likely to stick around....after a few seconds all nosy neighbors will look out their windows to see who is out there and most criminals won't finish the job with that kind of attention.
If you carry your keys while walking to your car in a parking lot, the alarm can work the same way there. (Maybe it would also be useful for any emergency, such as a heart attack, where you can't reach a phone.)

Cole Porter Inn
|
Visit the Cole Porter Inn... home of Cole Porter Birthplace & Museum... in historic Peru, Indiana! Hours of Operation - by arrangement, call us anytime.
Cole Porter was born Jun 9 in 1891 to Samuel and Kate (Cole) Porter, in Peru, Indiana, and spent the first ten years of his life at 17-19 South Huntington St. Here, Cole Began his career as an unparalleled composer and lyricist, composing several of his early songs, including Night & Day" and "So In Love".
In the following years, Cole's birthplace was converted into a privately-owned apartment complex and fell into a state of disrepair. In 2003, a clandestine meth-amphetamine lab was discovered - and destroyed - in one of the upper apartments, and the property was turned over to the City of Peru.
In 2004, the home was purchased by Ole Olsen Memorial Theatre, Inc. and it is being restored to it's 1891 condition! Part of that restoration (which is nearly complete!) includes turning part of the home into a historical Inn. The Cole Porter Inn currently features a gift shop and reception area, Kate's Parlor, and three elegant suites: The Cole Porter Suite, The Anything Goes Suite and The Night & Day Suite.

Courage suggested by Mother Teresa
|
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives; be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies; succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you; be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight; build anyway."

Help for suicidal family member or friend, no joking matter
|
Matthew Dovel said...Wow, hello! Reality check! I go out and personally clean suicide scenes at no charge every week for families who can not afford to have it done.
Dovel's comment was made in response to an article (You'd Never Expect Charles Barkley to Make an Isiah-Suicide Joke, Would You?) at the following link:
http://nba.fanhouse.com/2008/10/28/youd-never-expect-charles-barkley-to-make-an-isiah-suicide-joke
Currently, our nation has over 90 suicides a day. That means more than 90 families suffer the greatest loss they will ever experience in their lives each day. Being glib about this subject is just as tragic. It's a subject no one wants to talk about.
